Contributing to the Global Adoption of Solar & Storage...

Headwall Power International’s mission statement is to improve countries around the world by enabling reliable carbon-free infrastructure, while at the same time developing projects with fair risk-adjusted returns.  Headwall Power selects countries to work in based on a matrix of risks which begin with the level of commitment that the government has to real adoption.

HPI provides the solar domain expertise, proven project experience, and institutional capital requisite for successful project development.  The founders of Headwall Power have the reputation and history in solar development required to dependably realize projects successfully.

CEO, Founder  (San Francisco)

  • In 2015 Brad founded Headwall Power's flagship to drive emerging-market power development.

  • Founder/Executive of Silverado Power and Renewable Analytics, from 2009 to 2012, after which the pipeline was sold to Fir Tree in 2013.  Under Brad’s leadership Silverado Power signed 150MWac in PPA’s and built a 2GW pipeline.

  • Strong track record as hedge fund analyst in semiconductors, 2001–2007, and solar analyst since 2008. He has proven the value of superior market intelligence in project development as well as stock trading.

Board Member  (Washington, DC)

  • During the Obama Administration, Mr. Silver led the DOE’s investments of more than $35bil in the world’s largest wind, solar, geothermal, biofuel, and nuclear projects.  Named one of the country's top-ten "influencers" in green-tech, he also sits on the boards of American Forests (the nation’s oldest forest conservation organization), the Solar Electric Light Fund, and the Wind Energy Foundation.

  • Mr. Silver co-founded venture firm Core Capital Partners and was COO of Tiger Management, one of the largest hedge funds in the US.  He began his career at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm.

Experience + Bankability + Expertise

  • TRACK RECORD: The founders of HPI formed a similar company in California in 2009.  The company built a 2 GW pipeline in the following two years and is currently one of the largest portfolios of operating utility scale projects (now owned by AES).

  • DOMAIN EXPERTISE: The team combines deep industry expertise with strong local relationships and a history of effecting positive change.  The technology choices as well as EPC deployment are key aspects of solar project development that must be well understood.  Headwall works only with proven vendors with deep balance sheets.

  • BANKABILITY: The founders and advisory have been part of and advised hedges funds managing 1-20bil+ in AUM and have effected 50bil+ in solar related transactions.
